Use MC.

R1: ch 5, 2 sc to 2nd ch from hook, 2 sc, 4 sc into last ch, 2 sc, 2 sc to first ch [12]
R2: 2 inc, 2 sc, 4 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc [20]
R3: sc, 3 sc in next st, 6 sc, 3 sc in next st, 2 sc, 3 sc in next st, 6 sc, 3 sc in next st, sc [28]
R4: 2 sc, 3 sc in next st, 8 sc, 3 sc in next st, 4 sc, 3 sc in next st, 8 sc, 3 sc in next st, 2 sc [36]
R5: 3 sc, 3 sc in next st, 10 sc, 3 sc in next st, 6 sc, 3 sc in next st, 10 sc, 3 sc in next st, 3 sc [44]
R6: sl st with SC, 3 hdc, inc hdc, 12 hdc, inc hdc, 8 hdc, inc hdc, 12 hdc, inc hdc, 5 hdc where last one is made in first slst, slst [48]

Fasten off and hide the yarn ends.

Scarecrow Body

R1: with red ch 11, starting from 3rd ch from hook, 9 hdc, fasten off [9]
R2: attach red to 3rd hdc, 3 sc, turn [3]
R3: ch, 3 sc, turn [3]
R4: ch 2, slst into same st, (ch 2, slst to next) x2

Sew in place. Try to tuck the stitches at the hem of the body so that the hem forms an upside-down crown shape.

Scarecrow Head

R1: with beige 6 sc into magic loop, slst

Sew in place.

Straw Hat

R1: with yellow ch 3, starting from 2nd ch from hook 2 sc

Leave a long tail for sewing. Place the hat on top of the head and use the tail to sew the brim of the hat.

Use the yellow tail (or new yarn) to sew hands.
Sew five black birds and two black eyes.
Sew a blue scarf.
Sew a brown mouth.
